Report: Bentley developing a four-door and entry-level coupe
Bentley is riding Volkswagen AG’s train of massive product expansion and in this latest report from Automobile Magazine, the Flying B could be jumping on another train for the four-door coupe. But that’s not all as another coupe could be in the works for the bottom of the barrel, at the entry-level.
After speaking to Bentley’s CEO, Wolfgang Durheimer, the company has two options for consideration, those being either a new entry-level coupe to sit below the Continental GT or a new four-door coupe sandwiched in between the Flying Spur and the Mulsanne.
Past reports suggested the possibility of a new entry-level coupe before, but there wasn’t much in the way of confirmation, until now. It would be a sports car model destined to compete against the likes of the Aston Martin, which would make sense since Bentley is trying to implement their new “Sporting Luxury” corporate philosophy.
Otherwise, the other model is only speculated to be a four-door coupe version of the Flying Spur. Either way, we won’t know until Bentley decides, so only time will tell.
