I hope Top Gear gets picked up for the US. Motorweek is the best car news TV show on right now. Does anyone know of another TV show in the US that tests cars and reports the latest in car news?

Uh, that "Volvo" sourced V8 is actually an engine designed in collaboration between Ford and Yamaha (mainly Yamaha) and was first used in the '96 to '99 Taurus SHO. The Ford-Yamaha engine development partnership started with the first Taurus SHO's V6.

That Yamaha V8 is bad ass!

@TXMike: I'll bet if they were doing a 30-minute documentary on the Yamaha V8, instead of a 20-second segment they'd have gotten around to all that. But thanks for the Comic Book Guy impersonation. Anyway, the V8 SHO never lived up to its potential.

US Top Gear needs Leno. Motorweek is like Fifth Gear, without the ambiguously gay dude. IOW, Motorweek has alot of facts, but bores the life out of you.

ok heres the deal i am one of the people that jokes about DD but you know what he is a good host, if you diss him over bad jokes, remember that he reads them from a telepropter, so the jokes are writen by the writers of FLD. and while Alex is hot, and i really dont mind having her around every once in a while, DD might be a more of a car guy and might just be more experienced and may know more about cars than Alex.
