Holy crap. I was going through FLD withdrawl. It's almost 4 here in Detroit.

  • Speed Racer wrote on February 15, 5:18 pm100 Award

DAMN! KITT came to FLD? That's cool as hell!

  • Frank_is_Rad wrote on February 15, 5:27 pm

Derek D. got to sit in KITT!!! You lucky bastard! KITT is awesome, a lot of people were hating on the fact that KITT is now a mustang but as the Double D said, it's not your ordinary mustang! I still am a fan of the original, but hey, the new KITT looks way cool! FLD rocks!

  • Kenny (fld producer) wrote on February 15, 5:27 pm

    yea whats up with that

  • Sloan Peterson wrote on February 15, 6:12 pm

Holy crap, there is a new KITT??? Ford GT500KR too!!! SWEET! What an awesome exhaust note..... Anyone know what time Sunday night on NBC?

  • loneshark wrote on February 15, 6:14 pm100 Award

so Derek is going from the bow tie to the blue oval ? hahaha not a wise choice.

good show, Derek dropping lines as usual. punk.

    lol

  • Tim wrote on February 15, 6:26 pm

I've been wanting to get behind the wheel of KITT since I was seven years old. Damn you Derek D!

  • jmbuytaert wrote on February 15, 7:06 pm

    whatever happened to the horns?

  • supramike wrote on February 15, 7:18 pm100 Award

yeah right the only thing i hear different in that GT500KR is an after market cold air intake, deeper more thoaty sounding exhaust note and maybe headers to match, thats it. so tops we're taking about a 60hp jump from stock. the new Zo6 is pointless no get no hoursepower boost what the point?? the new paint and the being able to say i have a limted edition Zo6??? what a waste of 80 grand.

  • Mutley wrote on February 15, 8:26 pm

KITT sounds cammed out. Nice interior but please do something about that $5 rear view mirror

  • bogus wrote on February 15, 9:10 pm

YO THIS IS NOTHING TO TOP GEAR ___WTF SOME BOGUS CRAP HERE

  • water wrote on February 15, 10:12 pm

why not just call it supergay instead of 427, at least you cant copyright letters in sequence.

  • Colleptic wrote on February 16, 12:10 am

I am assuming they made the 427 version with collectors in mind. Most people will see through the gimmick, but eh, what can ya do. They should have changed the exhaust set-up to modern agronomic side-pipes and then called it the 427…now that would have rocked!

  • Oilpit wrote on February 16, 12:46 am

there was no gear selector, auto or stick, in KITT.
    weird

  • Knight Rider wrote on February 16, 1:23 am

    KITT drives himself.

  • Nick Holla wrote on February 16, 2:56 am

KITT should be a challenger or camaro....not a mustang. That is wrong on so many levels. At least they chose the biggest and baddest pony to do the job. A 97 Trans Am with Ram Air would do the job just fine. LT4 motor.....

  • el duke wrote on February 16, 3:36 am

how can i put a pic on my account?

  • CARBON FIBER wrote on February 16, 3:30 pm

DD - Did you say "Epic Fail" for the 427?

Why? How can you say that?

Supramike, no HP boost? 505 HP is not enough??

Waste of 80 grand? Show me any production car that can outperform it at any price? (Aside from Hyper Cars Bugatti, Aero, etc)

Anything > over 500, its not so much a question of power, its a matter of traction & being able to make use of all that power & grip.

I think those wheels alone are worth their weight in gold. Beautiful. And they look easy to clean as well.

Morgan Woody? I dont know how that guy gets away with building wooden matchbox cars with road certificates. Im all for the kit car industry etc. But I was speaking with an owner who had his morgan 'cracked' spontaneously. When he approached Morgan to inform him about a possible recall, Morgans' reply; "Thats the way it is. If you dont like it, build your own car."

  • anony wrote on February 16, 3:46 pm

How come they says "Always fresh. Everyday." if they don't film on weekends???

  • supramike wrote on February 16, 4:47 pm100 Award

REALLY Mr. CARBON FIBER, so ur saying the wheels and the paint skeem warrants about a 10 grand jump from a stock Zo6 price?? yeah, i think not. dont get me wrong man i LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the Z06, infact i'm looking into having one soon, but i think if their gonna roll out a new one just about a month or so after giving us the Zr1 it has to be in the middle of the current Z06 and the Zr1 perfomace wise, or at least have a betta Suspension set up, or have a kooler more aerodynamic body kit or something....dont just slap on new wheels, a new paint job, slap a couple of 427 badges on it then jack the price up about 10 grand and call it a new thing cuz its not. i can buy a used Z06 for much less then slap better wheels and that lame ass paint skeem on it and call it a 427.....thats all i'm saying. i'm not dogg'n the Z06 in general. and to answer Oilpit question, kitt has to be automatic, its just soooo much easier to control a full size car by remote control when its an automatic. the show mythbusters have done the remote control car thing a number of times in fact their very first episode has one on there u can c how its done.

  • el duke wrote on February 17, 1:30 pm

supramike dont worry about carbon fiber...hes a tool.

  • yissels.com wrote on February 17, 2:46 pm

    DAMN! KITT!! Awesome car

  • Mercator wrote on February 17, 8:58 pm

Glad DD doesnt like fart can exhausts either.

Old school UK craftsmanship + electric drivetrain = garaged for repairs CONSTANTLY...

    Vette 427? sure whatever.

KITT is pretty dope. Can't say I will watch the TV show though.
