You do it on porpose right?
Show after show you keep talking about a thing you call “Paris-Dakar 2008”, haven´t you released, since 2006 the rally’s name was changed to “Lisboa-Dakar” because it started in Lisbon and finished in Dakar? Where had you been people?
Hey FLD people start doing your homework right, your spectators deserve better.
Keep the good work and don’t make the same mistake again.

I think that Maranello wagon belongs to the sultan of Brunei

Happy to hear that the promoters/producers for the whatever-its-called Rally are not giving up and they are simply changing the venue. Hardcore multi-country offroad endurance races are cool. Does Speed Channel cover it? Ive never watched it before, but would like to if it gets televised.

Whats up with "Middle-East Coast Customs" and their wagon fetish? Weird, but unique.

    Good job, Carrie and FLD.

The polo with a TDI is supposed to get 78mpg and cost half as much as a Prius.

You guys should start an anti big car movement. It only makes sense FLD is cool as hell and so are small cars...

  • Frank_is_Rad wrote on February 12, 4:56 pm

that volkswagon looks like a kia with a VW logo, don't think i like it...carrie is cute, but Derek D-man FTW!!

hahaah, its a good thing i didnt watch todays show, based on the comments, FLD was just clowning around today.

  • lutts wrote on February 12, 5:44 pm

sorry but carrie reminds me of country trailer park tr--sh

Actually, the reason why we didn't change it from Paris-Dakar to Lisbon-Dakar is because the official name is simply the Dakar Rally. In saying that it USED to go from Paris to Dakar is actually correct. However, it hasn't actually gone from Paris to Dakar since 2001, but is still commonly referred to by that name in popular culture.

    * Where's the Beef?!

So, the problem was not the presentation which was fine(dont shoot the messenger) but rather Lack of Content. In addition, the content available was already quite outdated.

And thank you for that short but sweet commercial.

There is SOOO much going on in the Auto World right now.

We wanna hear about it. Luv ya Carrie! xo ;)

I love how so many of you are so critical of a show that is FREE to you...You have a sense of entitlement like you are owed something...LOL

Guess what...This isn't Nightline...Give it a rest and just enjoy the show--Or if you think it is that bad, create your own show, hire your own producers, talent, writers, buy your own production equipment, etc.

Nobody cares what you think...They only care if you keep tuning in so that they can sell advertising.

Keep up the good work FLD and thanks!

Glad to see that Carrie is back...For those of you who think she is "country"...You're right! She is from Texas! (according to her website) www.carriemilbank.com

  • CARBON FIBER wrote on February 12, 9:55 pm

    * Actually they do care what you think because if the content is deficient or lacking, the viewers will go elsewhere & so will the advertisers & the rest of the staff

  • fast_human wrote on February 12, 10:04 pm

I agree, you are right. It just seems to me that there are a few people who seem to be very critical of FLD...However, they keep watching! If you hate it so much, go elsewhere.

If there are enough people that agree with you (I doubt there is) then the "massive" decrease in hits that the website receives will decrease their advertising sales power.

Bottom line...If you keep watching FLD, thats all that really matters...Right?

In my opinion, FLD does a great job and I enjoy watching the show...As stated before, keep up the good work!

Meh, wasn't too exciting of a show today for some reason... could be the lack of a legs included shot of carrie, could be the lack of the top she wore last week, or it could be that there was no NASCAR coverage LOL. I miss good old DD. Here is a suggestion, dual hosts with the "magic floating screen" in between. *cough*makeshowlonger*cough*

LAME besides the mini skirt Carri had on nothing here todaywas interesting

I applaud the next generation broadcat and production model which Next New Networks has come up with. Short 5 minute vids for the ADD generation, new episodes DAILY, and distributed via every possible channel there is. Im assuming FLD is their flagship property. If I was going to fund/produce a new specialty/niche channel of content...id simply hire these guys. They know what theyre doing...and they do a good job. Its too bad that so many people prefer to bitch instead of applaud...but hey, that part of interne culture. Put yourselves out there and open yourselves up to comment and criticism. Its takes strength and balls...especially to not edit out and delete the negative comments...to simply leave them up there for everyone to read. Good Job Next New Networks. And ll your hosts are fine; of course you need to rotate hosts.

But next time DD calls in Sick...how bout users sending in some videos depicting/guessing what DD is doing on his day off!!!

I know what you mean, popular culture rules!!
But I am from Portugal and leave really near where everything started… and this year ended for us. It was realy sad to see the rally cars going away on top of trucks, instead of going by their own means for the first stage of the rally.
The Rally is really special in Europe and the sponsors made an enormous effort to say, look this year we start again from a different place that isn’t Paris…
Keep the good work, I will keep viewing you from Portugal!
